Dr John, Dr Hayden and our dedicated team offer high quality and compassionate veterinary care for our client’s pets and livestock. All being animal owners ourselves, we appreciate the importance of pets in our lives and that appropriate treatment is of utmost importance.
With the increasing corporatisation of the veterinary industry, we are proud to remain a small, privately owned, independent practice, serving the Canberra, Queanbeyan, Bungendore and surrounding community for several decades. Our clients appreciate our traditional rural charm and our pragmatic approach to practice.
Sonza Veterinary Clinic supports the ethical and conscientious breeding of dogs, cats, horses and livestock, and take pride in offering veterinary services to local breeders and the dog show community.
We are equipped a wide range of medical, surgical and diagnostic facilities, including:
- digital radiography
- ultrasonography
- dental radiography
- in-house haematology and biochemistry blood testing
- in-house progesterone blood testing
- in-house urinalysis
We offer surgery most weekdays. Most procedures are day surgery with your pet ready to leave by mid-afternoon. Our surgical facilities are extensive, with full anaesthetic monitoring equipment and skilled nurses to monitor the anaesthetic. We offer pre-anaesthetic blood tests (highly recommended for older or unwell patients) and fluid therapy for all procedures.
