Welcome to Sonza Paint Horses<\/h2>\n

Sonza Paint Horses was established in 1999 when we bred Broken Mills Painted Lady, our first Paint Horse, to One Moore Jessie.\u00a0 The result was Artistic Eclipse, a bay Paint Bred gelding born in the spring of 2000.\u00a0 As they say, the rest is history.\u00a0 Gill has always had a keen interest in horses and chose Paints as the breed to pursue, due to their laid back temperaments, versatility and unique colour markings.\u00a0 We are only a small stud; our emphasis is on quality not quantity.<\/p>\n

Gill and John\u2019s son Hayden has been interested in the breeding aspect of our stud operations for several years now.\u00a0 He is always researching bloodlines and genetics to make sure Sonza Paint Horses maintain a steady course in our very selective breeding program.\u00a0 Although our focus is presently on competing in halter, we value breeding versatile Paint Horses that have the aptitude to excel in multiple disciplines.\u00a0 Our goal is to breed horses with the substance, style and structure to compete in halter and the movement and soundness to later compete under saddle.\u00a0 We acknowledge that Paint Horses, related to the American Quarter Horse, should also have the utility, intelligence, disposition and athleticism required to succeed in other highly demanding disciplines.<\/p>\n
